Hiya, I'm just signing up! I'm giving the NHS weightloss plan a go after many years of dieting and failing to find a healthy relationship with food. I have never joined in forums before so it's a bit scary - trying to reach outside my comfort zone though.

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. I know you said you've never joined in forums before, so thank you for choosing to join in with ours, and I hope you'll find it to be a friendly and supportive place on your weight loss journey!
We have some pinned posts, which can be found on the top right-hand-side of the homepage, and I would recommend reading the Welcome Newbie post, which moreless has collated. It is really inspiring reading, and will introduce you to many things that forum members like about this community.
I'm glad to hear you're considering doing the NHS 12 week plan, as many of us have been successful in losing weight on that plan, and it's more like a lifestyle than a 'diet' - at least that's what I personally think about it.
We have a weekly weigh-in group which takes place on Mondays - so if you would like to join us for that, then please look out for it tomorrow - the latest link to that thread is always in the Events section (below the Pinned posts) so it's easy to find, as long as you know where to look!

Hi Thomas13 don't be scared, I had never joined a forum before not even on Facebook but once you post and read other people's posts you will find what a fantastic forum it is full of people with so much encouragement and advice all in the same or have been in the same situations. Many of us are long term failed/yoyo dieters, but this time I have worked hard getting my head in the right place, done lots of reading and thinking about my (unhealthy) relationship with food. Almost a year on this new eating plan, almost 2 1/2 stone off, and I feel confident to successfully manage holidays, Christmas and family events. Good luck, you can do it! 😊
