I am 25 and I am obese. I live a very inactive life in terms of physical activity. I am not happy with my body and that makes me very unhappy in different aspects of life. I struggle with self confidence and I am obsessed with how different I look compared to before. I am tired of people asking me if I am pregnant, if I have kids. I just want to feel and look healthy again and most of all to get back to living my life to the fullest. Tired of wallowing in self pity! ready to kick off some of this misery!!!

Hello. This is friendly pace with lots of nice people. Have you tried looking at the nhs 12 week plan?

hi Lulu-red,

It is good that you have decided to do something about the extra weight you have. Take the first step in doing the 12 week plan and join this group, they are supportive and non judgmental. Good luck to you :-) John

Hi Lulu-Red,

Welcome to the forum. I think it's great that you've posted to say that you feel ready to "kick off" some of those feelings that have been holding you back, as that shows motivation to make some changes to your life. This is a great community in terms of there being lots of people who are on different stages of their own personal weight loss journeys, and it is therefore a place where I think we can better understand each other's challenges along the path.

I can see that Moreless has given you some great link pages to read, and I'd like to personally invite you to join in our Monday weigh-in group, if you think you might fancy to be part of a group who literally meet in a thread to weigh-in and gain support. Take a look at Monday's Morning session link, if you fancy seeing what the last group was like:

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh....

There's also an Afternoon/Evening session too, for people who like to weigh then.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you about it, incase you fancy joining us. You'd be very welcome.

Hope you have a great weekend, and hope to see you around and about in the forum.

Lowcal :-)

First, good for you wanting to have a healthier lifestyle! Second, ignore those who ask you if you're pregnant! They should watch what they say. How would they like it if someone had asked THEM IF THEY WERE PREGNANT AND NOT BE? I was asked if I was pregnant when I was in high school (I never was because of health issues). Got me upset, but I didn't let them know it.

Not what you're looking for?
