Hi snowleopard
Welcome to this wonderfully supportive forum. I've followed weight watchers over the years and was always successful with whichever points system it was at the time, I just havent been very good at maintaining! This forum is great and helped me lose 10.25 lb in 7 weeks by calorie counting. I still have a long way to go and I know I wouldn't still be here in week 8 if it wasn't for the support offered by all the lovely people on here π
Good luck with your weight loss !

Hi Snowleopard,
Keep on trucking it will get easier. Maybe focus on your meals/points and do some gentle walking or stretching when able. It is hard when juggling health issues.
Break down your goals to something not so daunting, maybe 7 Ib at a time, and as you reach every goal reward yourself.π
You will find loads of support, ideas, inspiration, humour, reality and at times laugh out louds π
Hope you have a great week and catch up on your next post

Hey, welcome to the forum! Great place for support in the day to day defeating of all our cravings.....
Hi snowleopard1970, and welcome to this wonderful forum!!
Everyone I have encountered in my 4 weeks here had been very friendly, helpful and approachable - I doubt very much of I would of had this level of success with out it!
May i suggest that you see your gp regarding your pain? I assume you have already been to the gp, but your meds may need to be adjusted if you are still struggling with your pain. If you suffer with Chronic Pain, see if you can be referred to your local pain clinic ( if you have not already done so!) The pain clinic can offer much more targeted relief than your gp.
I had tried weight watchers and slimming world before, but they just didn't work for me.
This time I'm doing my own thing! I started by Reading the NHS 12 well plan.
Then, following recommendations from people on this site I downloaded 2 free apps fitbit and myfitnesspal. I use both for different aspects. With these I can record the calories eaten, exercise dinner and progress made.
So far I've lost half a stone - but still have 8 stone to go!
Believe me when I say "if I can do it, anyone can do it"
Good luck π
