Life has to be about more than just ONLY health...
My favourite saying is still '“Life should not be about a long slow journey from the cradle to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one piece. SOMETIMES it's good to skid on your knees with a glass of chardonnay in one hand and a bar of chocolate in the other saying 'Whoo hoo! What a Ride!' ”
( its actually a misquote from Hunter S Thomson.. but i like the ' sometimes' - even being healthy shouldnt ignore having fun as well!)

I don't mean to imply it DOES.. But so much of healthy living CAN be portrayed too often as stopping people having fun.. don’t eat this , don’t do that.. and you SEE so many people on here getting worried when they ‘slip off the wagon’ , my point is , it should be about enjoying life MORE fully , not always beating yourself up over when you haven’t done this or that.. actually DOING so ‘gives you leave’ to have the occasional treat and not feel ‘ guilty’ when you do. The thing you have to remember is they are TREATS ? i.e. occasional.. and the reason we LIKE them so much is they feel good.. but the key word is SOMETIMES!! but lets give ourselves leave to (occasionally) treat ourselves?
with you on that.. the feel good benefits of doing something fun that involves exercise should also be included... ( hence 'slide in on your knees' in the quote.. )
I believe that everything is okay in moderation. A bit of weed here and there, a takeaway once a fortnight, couple of ciders on a Friday. I'm only 22 and about 2 stone overweight, but I'm not going to let my weight rule my life. It's coming off bit by bit and in the mean time, I'm living how I want to live this was a very refreshing post to read!
well I always think when people say EVERYTHING all right in moderation , you cant have 'a moderate amount' of being dead! But I SOOOOOOOO want to say "well done!!!" for... ' its coming off , bit by bit' !!!
