I remember when I started the 12 week plan last year Ols Bean was a big inspiration to me. If it is you in the picture, I think he was a similar size. He posted a before & after picture and look at him now! Have a look at some of is advice.

But you have got to want to do it.

Good luck.

Have you tried the 5:2 diet? I find its great because whatever I can't have I say I'll have it tomorrow and when tomorrow comes I don't really want it. It's beneficial for your overall health as well. Google it and watch the film

i think if i,m going to do a diet it would have to be all 7 days or there would be to many slip ups

It's easy to be discouraged. I've found that looking backward almost never helps. Looking forward is about the same. My best strategy, shared with me (not devised by me — I was never very smart about this stuff), was to focus on what I could change today.

Yes, it's a little bit a mind game, since obviously, I'm going to have to make changes for more than one day, but it's a winning game, I've found. What change can I do for today, what help can I get today to fulfill my goal of change, etc. If I take healthy actions today, I will be headed in a healthy direction.

Best wishes, and God bless,

Michael

Sorry to hear you've been struggling to lose weight. If the 12 week plan does not work for you, have a look at cutting down on starchy foods like cereal, cakes and bread, it can often help with losing weight.

This site has some suggestions.
