From what ive read you need to go for tomato based curry not cream so not tikka or korma, plain rice and to stay away from things that are fried ie onion bhajis and poppadoms (unfortunately my fave lol) drink water or diet drinks so you dont drink you calories. Veg curry would save more calories but still be filling and try not to finish portions as then tend to be huge. You could try lowering calories for the rest of the day so you dont go over your calorie amount. Good luck and enjoy ur evening

Hi annele,

I'd pretty much go with what fibronfedup has said.

Perhaps eat a bit less the day before - if the comment isn't too late!

Also either avoid or share a starter, and similarly with any dessert. Again, if you do indulge in either try to make the best choice you can avoiding the worst of sweet and fatty (e.g.oily or creamy) options.

Also, be careful you don't lose the battle to the "demon drink"! It's pretty calorific in its own right, but also tends to weaken your resolve and, also, it impedes fat burning.

You need to go for boiled plain rice, dry cooked meats like tikka and tandoori and avoid creamy sauces and the ones full of ghee.

Also, do not have naan bread, one chapati would be OK and possibly one poppadom but avoid anything deep fried like onion bhajis!

When I used to do normal low calorie diets I would have tandoori chicken or tikka and a salad when I went out.
