New Mummy - time to get that pre-baby body back!

Hi everyone! I've just joined the site and I'm looking for people to help keep me motivated and on track to lose the 2 stone I gained whilst pregnant with my first child. I was slightly overweight before getting pregnant but I really want to get down to a healthy BMI. It's important for me to be a good role model for my daughter so I don't want a quick fix. I'm seeing this as a lifestyle change. Here's to the beginning of a 'new me'!

Hi, Good luck to you, your in the right place this site is great for motivation. Have you had a read through the nhs live well pages and 12 week plan? Its a good place to start. Also log your food intake and your exersise on the 'My Fitness Pal' app, its really good.

Do you really want your pre-baby body back? I know this is the phrase that gets bandied about but I wonder if a first step might be to ditch that thought and focus on the here and now and the future, especially as that is clearly a motivation for you (and being a good role model for your children seems to be one of the more effective ones for actually achieving and maintaining a healthy weight, compared with getting into a smaller clothing size for an event in the near future)

How old is your daughter now?
