Hello all, I will be starting my first... - Weight Loss Support
Hello all, I will be starting my first week next week Monday!! Can't wait!
Welcome! I started this week and all is going well so far! Guess the scales will tell on Sunday I've cut my calories to 1600 and I'm using an app on my phone to count the calories as the day goes on so I dont forget anything! Good luck and stick to it x
Hi Loopyliz
the first step is always the hardest. I dont know too much about losing a dress size but to be come healthier you need to find a good mix of diet and exercise. When I say good I mean its got to be sustainable. So many people start off with all good intent but set the bar too high for themselves and when they dont achieve their goals they fall off the wagon.
So choose a diet program and a good cardiovascular workout program that you enjoy. When you get fed up with it change it. Variety is the spice of life.
Remember losing weight is all about burning more calories than you take in, so monitor your intake and make sure your exercise routine burns it off faster.
if you want a good cardio workout checkout ptprograms.com.au where you can download free workouts for all levels of fitness. I joined last year and and upgraded to a paying member (all of $10) and now get monthly personal programs to do.
good luck with it and keep us posted on your achievements
Hi,
You are on the right track to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle. It is all about choices and what is important to you in your life. We are all human and not perfect all the time. Counting calories is a good idea with myfitness.com. It makes you aware what you are actually eating, and works out a daily calculated calorie intake depending on your lifestyle and how much you want to loose.Remember some exercise is important to! If you get into good habits it will stick with you for life! Good luck!

Changing your diet and doing exerises is good...but dont rush into it ...take it slowly and the weight will go..have a good first week..
Avoid Chinese takeaway meals, cheese and donoughts...they've been my undoing this week.
Thanks for all the tips!
I have started doing 30mins cardio workout on a YouTube channel and I walk my dogs for 30mins a day, it's funny how addictive exercise can become! I am off to the market tomorrow to pick up fruit and veg and me and the hubby are going to get out all the recipe books and see what meals we can make and try to make them healthier! I'm very excited at trying different meals! Lots of stir frys and fruit salads, low fat Greek yoghurt and rice cakes can't wait to start!x
