You do not say what you are drinking or what exercise you do.
You're also not eating much during the day, so by the time you get to tea your body will be hungry and want to store the energy from your potato and beans rather than burn it.
Have you worked out the number of calories you are eating? Its probably less than 1000 which is not recommended unless you are under medical supervision.
Try eating more (nearer to 1400), keep up the exercise and see what happens.
Hi cornell1,
Especially when you are "dieting" or taking in less food than usual, it is really important that the food you eat covers the full range of nutrients, i.e. all the major food groups, including vitamins and minerals and things like EFAs etc.
I'd recommend you get yourself into a better food regime, perhaps of the meal-snack-meal-snack-meal-snack sort, so that you don't go without any food at all for a period of more than about 4 hours. You kind of use the light sensible snacks (might just be a tomato, or an apple or something) to "skate the hunger off of you" - as my Mum would have said - until your next healthy and sensible meal.
This keeps your blood sugar levels more even and helps to keep your body in fat burning mode rather than fat storage mode.

hi, thanks for your replies. i eat a bananna for breakfast, no fat yoghurt with my fruit salad that contains orange, peach, apricot, pear, and nectirine. my exersise routine is 20 mins of muscle toning, and 25 of yoga, this is at home and with the guide of the wii fit, but i have 2 dogs and walk them for at least half an hour a day. i am also a vegi, and the rest of my family are not, so i dont have time to cook myself foods as well as my kids and husband, as i work full time. i drink 2 pints of water after exersising and i drink tea or coffee all the other time, apart from a can of larger when the kids go to bed. any ideas in what i can do next. thanks
Just because you're a veggie doesn't mean that the rest of the family have to go without, or that you can't get any protein.
Me and my partner also work full time and it was a pain in the beginning having to think about our shop, one for weight loss and one for muscle gain. But you only have to figure this out once and then you're sorted.
Try the veggie alternatives such as quorn mince, sausages etc so you can enjoy a chilli, or spag bol, or bangers and mash together.
You aren't getting any protein from your diet, so you do need to figure this in somehow - nuts are a good source of protein and good for snacking on.
Its also probably time you stepped up the intensity of your exercise, which means either doing it for longer, or (the better way) do the same time but make it harder.
So, run around with your dogs and play with them, and do the exercises that are more cardio based on the wii fit.
