Just diagnosed prediabetic an hour ago when my results showed my HbA1C is on the borderline (46 mmol/mol). According to my GP, it's due to the combination between being PCOS and lifestyle choices.

Prediabetic
It isn't always lifestyle but it can be - we are at a higher risk of insulin resistance because of how our body deals with sugar due to pcos. I cant remember if you are overweight or not, if you are then the key is getting the weight down, I would have thought you would be put on metformin (ask for the slow release version as the other gives you the sh*ts!!! so not pleasant !)
Obviously stick to low GI type diet as much as poss and cut out all white carbs and sugar (I use a replacement sugar thing called Erythritol which is totally natural and carb and calorie free) - brown version has carbs in it. You do need to be strict from a sugar point of view so no sweets or puddings generally unless they are made with something similar to erythritol!

You can potentially reverse this by diet alone !!
I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope things get better.
