I hate this..

As of I thought this health issue couldn't get any worst. Lately the hair has been getting worst and worst. I now have thick black hair growing at a fast rate all over my stomach and chest. It's so embarrassing!!! I'm not showering with my fiancé anymore. I refuse to take my top of during sex and I can barley look him in the eye because I'm so insecure :/ I've been trying to control this by trying to loose weight and nothing. I've been dieting on weight watchers for a while now. I've been going to the gym EVERYDAY and still putting weight on. I've given up..I don't know what to do anymore

Have you spoken to your gp about this? And has he tried you on any medication? And mine got worse as I got older late 20's was worst for me and when I informed gp about changes he tried a couple of things.

Yeah I spoke to them about it more than a few times, they said there is nothing the will do, nothing they can do or give me

Hmmm definitely not the answer you should be getting. Are you under a consultant? If so ask them to try you on metoformin, it was a big relief for me as I don't have the hair on my torso anymore and I also lost 6 stone on that medication as that is what I struggled more with. Obviously all medicines don't work for everyone but worth a try :-)

You can get vaniqa which is a cream which slows down the growth, this is available from the GP but is expensive so they rarely mention it. The combined contraceptive can help too.

I can promise you this, your bf loves you hair and all so dont be embarrassed with him, he honestly wont care, we notice it far more than they do.

Sometimes weight makes no difference, they class weight loss as a miracle cure for pcos but it isnt, yes it does help some ladies but not all sadly and as jojo says I found it got worse as I got older (Ive had laser on my face and it was brilliant but as it is hormonal I do need to maintain it).

Ask to be referred to an endocrinologist as pcos is their area and also look at the NICE guidelines for what to expect from the NHS with regard to PCOS>
