Hello everyone, hope you have a peaceful Sunday and a great week ahead! π€
Today I have leftover lentil dhal so I decided to make a healthy black sesame dessert with snow fungus. It can be served hot or cold. ππ
I really love sesame seeds especially black ones have more antioxidants than white sesame seeds and can make into sweet dessert. Itβs a very popular sweet dessert in Singapore and Malaysia.ππ
Recipe:
1. Heat in pan 60g of black sesame seeds. You will know when they are ready by the natural oil emitted and the fragrance.
2. Grind into powder and then add a bit of water to blend into paste.
3. Filter the sesame paste with water (total 500ml for the dessert).
4. Boil the liquid in medium heat pot and add 60g of rock sugar.
5. Mix in 30g glutinous rice flour. (Dissolve first with a bit of chill water).
6. Soak dried snow fungus with water and serve.
I love black sesame for all the goodness of many important trace macro-minerals as well as healthy fats and its flavor also. Snow fungus is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. ππ
