I've looked through all the groups on HU and thought this is the best one to share this link.
I, probably like many of you, prefer natural make up, face creams etc and am always looking for paraben free makeup and I came across this link which is really interesting.
What a great article. Very interesting. I have just started wearing a bit of make up after not wearing it for years. I buy eye liner from naturismo and now I need to find a natural mascara that comes off easily!! 🐼 😂
Yes I thought it was as well. I'm on a mission now to use all natural products. I've just bought a cream for a rash I have, I've been to the doctor about it and he gave me some Cetraben and mild steroid cream. Personally by looking at the side effects of coming off gluten I'm sure that's why I have a rash. I've just bought Child's Farm moisturiser, which is natural and designed for babies, that's what I'm going to use now.
I'm now careful what I eat and put on my skin and also use for cleaning.
I try to use all natural products for my skin and around the home. I sometimes buy Castile liquid soap and then add essential oils. Also I bought a bottle of lavender oil on line and wipe over the window seals with that to give a fresh smell as I only clean the surfaces around the house with water.
I quite like the Lavera products too which you can buy online at a reasonable price and the salt deodorant (salt of the earth) is good as it actually works
Last summer I thought I had a gluten allergy. As I had a rash moving around my body. I didn’t go to the doctors but I decided over time and after looking it up that it’s hives. It got really bad at one point and I stopped eating nuts and it went away. I tried all sorts of natural creams. Even one that was meant for horses lol. (Ok, I was desperate 🤣) 🐎
I have to admit I'm using up face creams that were bought for me as presents but once theyre gone that's it.
I've used the salt crystal anti perspirant many times and it works for me. I bought one for one of my daughter's but unfortunately it didn't work for her. I'm using Dr Organic roll one at the moment, Rose Otto being my favourite.
I never thought to look for hives, I do think it's gluten though with the nausea I was getting. I'll keep up with gluten free for a few months or so and introduce it slowly back into my diet and see what happens.
I've just started using Child's Farm moisturiser for my skin, it's supposed to be very good for Excema in babies.
I don’t blame you for using up what you’ve got as it’s all quite expensive and if it was a gift then that’s extra special.I think yours is probably a gluten problem too and it’s best to take that seriously unless you have any reason to think it’s not that.
I had never heard of childs farm but it looks good. When I’ve used up my bloomtown stuff I’ll give it a go. Bloomtown are good as they often have 20 or 30% off and are natural and vegan. I saw them on dragons den lol.
Yes it's all quite expensive and my daughter bought it for me and she really puts a lot if effort in.
Yes I'm convinced it is gluten as it's my tummy as well but I'm really starting to pick up now.
I'll have a look at Bloomtown, good also that they have money off their products, Dragon's Den is good for hearing about things. I read about Child's Farm in one if my magazines.
