With supermarkets having to change with demand Sainsbury’s are adding to their vegan range.
Although ready made food is probably not the healthiest it’s great for anyone who needs convenience or can’t cook. Also I think it will make being vegan more practical for some people just starting out, especially younger people or students.
Not trying to be negative Ali but none of that looks appealing, and as you pointed out its not particullarly healthy but also very pricey - which may prevent students buying these products. I personally feel Veganisium would take of more if things weren't so expensive, its a bit like the Gluten Free Market - although there are so many more people needing these products, they do not seem to go down in price. I don't mind paying more for quality but sometimes you just feel a little ripped off : <
Very true Debs. So annoying. I’ve noticed having vegan written on a product makes the price rocket yet if it’s accidentally vegan it’s within a reasonable price. Not good and yes gf is ridiculously over priced 🙁
I’m not into meat or fish substitutes but the way I look at it is, if it helps someone be vegan then that’s a good thing. 🌱🙂
I couldn't agree more Ali, some of those new vegan brands make it look just like real meat - especially mince or sausages and its so off putting, I guess it depends on your reasons for being vegan but I couldn't eat it.
If we keep paying, theres no need for them to put the price down, I have noticed waitrose have to reduce all the vegan stuff, some of it looks nice but a fiver for one pie - Really??????????
