Vegan cheese straws

I decided to have a go at cheese straws today.

I mixed flour and butter so it was like bread crumbs. Added a chilli, parsley, basil, a few sun dried tomatoes and a little vegan Parmesan and mixed together with a drop of water. They would also be nice if you added black olives. I am not a fan of vegan cheese but for these the taste was perfect.

I baked them at about 190deg for about 7 minutes and then turned the heat down to 150deg for about 5 mins until they looked cooked and then turned off the oven leaving the straws in there with the door oven door ajar.

They are a bit “rustic” lol but they are so light and delicious I will definately be making some more for Christmas 🎄

Agoodenough, These look wonderful!!!!! Did you bake them, or how did you cook them, and for how long?

Thank you. I made them on a whim and I never use exact measurements so they really are easy and delish!

They look and sound lovely Ali, I could see me tucking into them with some mango chutney but of course I won't as I am on a diet : > sadly my eyes have always been bigger than my stomach : >
