Activity2004 mentioned about hempe. I was in a rush to try it out and yesterday evening made this after being inspired. It is a selection of ingredients I probably wouldn’t have necessarily used if I hadn’t heard of hempe.
I blended 1 carton of chickpeas
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 cup hemp seeds
I cup gram flour
1 tablespoon tamari
Pea protein powder
3 chilli’s
Salt
Pepper
Water
It’s not quite hempe but it was as close as I could make it at short notice. I have to say it was delicious. I left it in the fridge overnight in a thin slab and then cut it into shape today and had it for lunch. One thing I have really struggled with is making burgers that don’t fall apart and these were really healthy easy and tasty. Thank you for the inspiration I will be making these again! 🙏

Hey Ali, these look really delicious and with that salad, so thanks for going to this trouble and I shall try these, I really like the combination of ingredients and am pleased to see that you used Tamari so they are gluten free.
And thanks again Leah for telling us about Hempe.😊
That’s okay i get excited when something inspires me and then I have to try it. I was pleased to be able to use chia seeds and hemp in larger quantities than I would have done previously. Give it a go or your own variation, we really liked them. 👍
Ooh, they look lovely and thank you for sharing the recipe.😀
