Interesting study and good that research is going on but in my case pre diagnosis I had a low salt diet for at least 26 years and for the 2 years before my illness I was on slimming world plan and therefore had little or no processed food.
The only hidden salt would have come from the once a week grilled bacon breakfast or the oxos as everything was home prepared.
I never add salt to cooking.
So I think you would agree I didn't overdo it.
I dare say there will always be exceptions to the rule.
I'm exactly the same, in fact, and you can laugh, I had to check I hadn't written that reply Lynne, and forgotten as the dates seemed so similar!
but I've re-calculated and it's no salt for 31 years 10 years before wg.
salt makes my arthritis bad, as does soda water & fizzy drinks.
sandra.
Ditto here. I dislike salt on most things.
The only things I'll have (minimal) salt on are chips and boiled eggs and I don't have these very often. And I check salt levels in the foods I eat and avoid processed foods as much as possible.
Not convinced with the salt theory. Next!
Me neither BB!
As David Jayne said in a different context, it's a quantum leap from experiments in mice to human beings. (Or something like that!!).
