Interesting abstract Jim. The conclusions say this reflects what was found previously. The question is "what causes these differences?"

At the Trust's AGM in May Dr Watts (of Norwich) presented a slide (to be reproduced in the Autumn Newsletter) showing the difference between GPA and MPA in Europe. The further north (Scandinavian countries) the more GPA, the UK figures were roughly similar with GPA taking a slight lead, while the southern European countries had more MPA.
