Yes I have just read it my weekly review magazine.
Atos sponsoring the Paralympics is hugely political and a cynical move by the Government.
Desperate to deprive as many disabled people of their benefits as possible they will, in future, cite the Paralympics. If THEY can do it, why do the rest of the idle scroungers need help from the State?
Once again, it's all about ideology and, of course, MONEY!! Atos have a dreadful reputation but are now being 'legitimised' by their sponsorship.

I find it so offensive that they are. they would probably find reasons to deny everyone on the GB team.

Obviously I'm 'missing something' but.....I don't have a clue who 'ATOS' are!!! I know I'm being stupid but can someone enlighten me please?

Atos are the group who have authority on who can get the esa [formerly incapacity] benefit for those too ill to work. They have just won the right to decide dla in most of the uk. Esa is a shambles and many genuine claims are dismissed. People with terminal illness are found "fit for work", all benefit stopped, only to die shortly afterwards. It is supposed to weed out fakes, a large % appeal and it is overturned so millions of £'s are lost and a lot of distress caused.
You are not being stupid, it has been snuck [sp?] in on us.

This is a dam disgrace. How come a company of complete incompetent fools that are ruining so many lifes are able to sponsor the Paralympic games . once again the so called politicians of this country are once again behind this . Wow many disabled and sick people had to loose there right to financial help that they have worked all there days . To make A.T.O.S. Look as if they are putting some thing back in to this is the money that should have been awarded to enable the people of this country to have the means to eat and live some sort of decent life .
And no i am NOT discriminating against any one participating in the Olympics good luck to them . As for A.T.O.S well if I said it here would probably be banned from the site
