if you are going on holiday make sure you take enough medication to cover your holiday plus some extra.

If we go abroad we always divide and pack John's medication into two different bags. We also carry an extra emergency supply in our flight bag. Always take the telephone number of your Consultant with you or a member of your local support group. If you are travelling in Europe make sure you know where the local doctor or Pharmacist is and always carry a list of of all your medication.

We have contacted John's consultant on two seperate occasions while we were away and he was very helpful. John has also seen a local village doctor in France who knew all about Wegeners Granulomatosis.

I always carry my meds as hand luggage and take an extra 10 days supply if going away for a long time.

It is also advisable to carry a doctors letter with you listing all your meds that you take as well as all your ailments. You should also check up on each country you are travelling to, to see if your meds are allowed into the country or not.

An airline will allow you to take additional hand luggage if it is for medical purposes.
