Important Information Regarding the Haven Trial

UPDATE for the HAVEN TRIAL !! Important information!

Unfortunately, as we will not meet the deadline of 59 participants enrolled by 30 Jun 2024, the MRC committee have decided not to support extending the recruitment period for the study. They have instructed us that recruitment to the study should therefore be stopped and no new patients should be screened or enrolled.

We will be submitting an early termination plan to the MRC in which we will request that all participants currently still on the study will continue to attend study visits, receive IMP as prescribed, and be followed up until their last study visit. The MRC were supportive of this plan and this has been approved by our sponsors.

We are of course very disappointed that the study has been terminated before the full number of patients has been reached. We have plans to use the samples collected during the study for some basic science projects that may give us insights into the pathobiology of ANCA vasculitis.

Please let the patients in Vasculitis UK that we are very grateful for their support for the HAVEN trial.

A shame it was terminated early. I did apply for this one but got screened out. I think they wanted peeps with quite active vasculitius. I'm in remission, so I guess in supermarket speak.... I am past my "use by date"🙂
