I know that sores inside the nose can be a vasculitis symptom. I have this occasionally, but generally my vasculitis is under control, thanks to Rituxan. However, from time to time (every couple months?) I get spots on my scalp. Does anyone else get this symptom? Is it connected to vasculitis?
cheers

your question really interested me as vasculitis is inflammation of the lining of the blood vessels so in theory could affect any part of the body where there is a blood supply. After a little investigation I did find a medical paper written in 2014 discussing scalp lesions associated with EGPA. So it is possible. Have you discussed this new development with your consultant?
Sorry - I thought I had replied to this. After your reply I found articles online too. I started on Rituxan in 2021, had my last infusion May of 2022 and since then I have been ok - just the odd minor rash or sores inside nose, or scalp spots - nothing that lasts for more than a couple of weeks, tops, so I count myself lucky. I may talk to my rheumatologist about it, but he won’t want to put me on medication unless I really need it. However, thinking about it, it wouldn’t hurt to get some labs done to see what my levels are.
