Can you explain what is vasculitis ? How do you get it or avoid it ?
Vasculitis ??: Can you explain what is... - Vasculitis UK
Vasculitis ??
Please see the Vasculitis UK charity information page about this:
vasculitis.org.uk/about-vas...
Vasculitis is a rare disease. There are many theories about triggers, but it is often something that spontaneously happens. Diagnosis can be difficult.
But yes, see the charity website for lots of advice and information.
I would especially recommend the "Understanding vasculitis" factsheet in the website. You can find it linked from
vasculitis.org.uk/about-vas...
From there:
"Vasculitis is a rare inflammatory disease which affects about 2-3000 new people each year in the UK. Vasculitis means inflammation of the blood vessels. Any vessels in any part of the body can be affected."
Sounds as though you're winding us up but if you're serious, go to the website
So exactly why are you on here? Have you been diagnosed with it? If you had it would have been explained surely. Do you think you have it? If so get it checked out.
I have GPA and thay said it can be genetic I have a cousin with it too her brother has rheumatoid arthritis which is autoimmune so maybe it's a gene that triggered by a virus or allergic reaction wich I think hapend to me I had both 🤔 we need more research I guess
the theory is that some families have a predisposition to have autoimmune diseases - RA, vasculitis, MS, Thyroidism, etc not necessarily just vasculitis.
There is on going research at Cambridge but it will take years to complete.
