On pred for 13 years. Couldn't get below 5mg without pain. Adrenals not working so have Addison's and on hydrocortisone.

Plus weight gain never been able to lose it. Osteoporosis as they didn't continue the alendronic when I was on lower dose

Me too. Although I haven't been told I have Addison's. Hydrocortisone didn't work for me so I'm on 5mg Prednisolone for life now.

Luckily I don't have osteoporosis. I was taken off Vit D3 calcichew tablets last year as appeared stable but now on Vit D supplements due to low Vit D found during a blood test I requested. I was concerned that the meds were stopped due to continuing on steroids. Glad I did.

Weight issues have always been a problem for me. I have managed to loose some slowly on the slimming world diet but it easily goes back on.

In my case I'm not sure it's due to the steroids though! I lack willpower at times.

I hope you don't suffer too badly with osteoporosis and you remain stable. These things are sent to try us and they certainly do!
