Hi, great article. At the end of the article it is mentioned that research is being undertaken at Cambridge and elsewhere with regards to the effectiveness etc of the vaccines re immune suppressed people. Where can we find more information on this?

As it is ongoing at the moment findings are not published yet. We will have to wait. I hope BSR will make an announcement when the time comes.
I see that in the article you kindly guided us to via the link above, it is recommended that those who are shielding should continue to shield after vaccination. There isn't any indication of how long we will need to shield for. Do you have any idea?
I suspect it will depend on what they find out about how the vaccine affects transmission - and how it works in immunosuppressed subjects. Could be a while ...
I suppose it is easier for me - I live in Italy, don't see the family f2f very often any way. I've survived OK for nearly 12 months - another few won't hurt ...
I had the vaccine last Friday and was told to continue shielding until I have my second dose in 12 weeks time. I suspect it will be April at the very earliest before we know more.
We do our best and we do have a virologist on our team of trustees , he will be adding more detailed information regarding the vaccine itself in due course.
