I got an email yesterday from Waitrose which said their records show I am over 70 so can be on a priority list for booking slots. The idea is that for such people there will be slots made availAble if you use yr email account to get onto their website. In fact they are not quite ready for us and their staff said give it a couple of days then keep trying. He took pity on me as I haven’t been able to shop in store physically (burning feet syndrome) for years now, so not able to even use the early hr for elderly.
In their email they did not mention the government list of 1.5 m vulnerable so I don’t know if this came off their own bat or whether it is a very quick response to the link to the government site that was circulated here. I’ll believe it when I see it!
Keep safe and blessings to all.

l also received a similar letter from Ocado which used to be part of Waitrose, it also said l had a day - which was last Friday - every 7 days - to place an order via Ocado's system due to being a "smart card user"; after some initial issues, my pc crashed. l did a check on Ocado system not using the link l had been sent, when l logged on the queue was mega long, l then logged onto Ocado via the link l was sent and the queue was down to 355, l was able to log in and place my order.
l know it doesn't quite answer your question but l thought my experience might help.
I am not yet 70 but am one of the 1.5 million extremely vulnerable. I was doing quite well for shopping, managing to get a waitrose delivery slot for next Saturday and one from Morrisons the week after. I am also registered with sainsburys. These deliveries took some forward planning and were arranged about 3 weeks ago. However I have been unable to maintain this going forward as none of these stores have released any further slots into the future and say they are giving priority to older and vulnerable people, indicating that the government will share their list of 1.5 million with them in the next few days. Sounds a mammoth exercise!! Asda seem to to have some availability but only allow you to book 2 weeks in advance. Facebook has been useful in saying which of our local shops will deliver - I successfully secured a milk and eggs delivery and I have am eagerly awaiting my first veggie box. Local butchers will deliver free too. Sadly our baker got overwhelmed and is now charging £10 per delivery - if only he would team up with the milkman!!
It's a new world of course and they are all doing their best. It does take some tenacity though to get one's groceries!
Hi there, thank you for your reply. The problem in my town is that there are next to no independent food/butchers/grocers shops anymore. So l'm - plus of course 40,000 other people - are not finding it easy but we're find a way.
