Interesting, and useful, 'Tip' from my Dermatologist

I had, one of my Regular 'Check Ups', about two weeks ago. I first saw my Consultant, Dr Andi, he examined me and then asked if I had any questions. I pointed out that, my skin, 'Troubles' seemed to be Playing Up. I had, yet more, Warts/Skin Lesions on my neck and something, VERY odd, 'happening ' to my hand. I also reported that my Athlete's Foot, was increasing by Leaps and Bounds. To this ends, Dr Andi, contacted Dermatology and they subsequently gave me a appointment, later in the day. That's the 'background', now the Story.

The Dermatologist that I see, I can NEVER remember her name- how embarrassing!- told me to add some Disinfectant to my Laundry. She said that it would 'Kill off', the fungal spores, thus reducing my skin lesions, and even the athlete's foot. I was, I'll admit, a little 'sceptical', but bought some reasonably cheap- but effective- disinfectant. Adding about two capfuls - or there abouts-, to the wash, actually DOES 'work a treat'! My skin IS improving, and so is are my feet- without being too crude, that IS a f..king Miracle in itself! So please DO BUY, some inexpensive Disinfectant, and add it to your washing, I promise, that you WILL BE AMAZED.

I just thought that I'd Pass On, this wonderful 'Tip'. Isn't it Lovely that the Weather, has cooled down?

Thanks for the tip. May I ask what disinfectant you’re using?

I just bought a 'Two For A Pound' one, from a Local shop. No need to spend a Fortune.

Wow. Will try that. I'm immuno suppressed like a lot of people on these pages and regularly get toe nail fungus and athletes foot. Will definitely try this - maybe soak socks in disinfectant prior to washing.

Yes, this does work, I’ve been doing for the past year. I use Pinesol, it comes in a few sents and you putit in the rinse cycle. It makes everything smell fresh and lovely too!

Andrew, so glad you brought this up!

Hi AndrewT. What disinfectant did you buy?

WOW! Thanks!

Would this be safe to do in water you wash your skin with? I have fungal lesions on my knees, heels and toes. they don't itch, but just feel awful.

I'm not sure about literally 'Painting It On Your skin' but, I'm sure, that you could put some in the bath. Maybe a twenty minute soak, every couple of days?

I haven't heard, from you, in ages- how are you? I'm still Plodding On, as usual- though I suffered, particularly badly- from Constipation- during that HOT weather. Excuse me for asking but, what actually ARE, the fungal lesions on your legs?

Please do let me know, how you get on, will you?

Kindest wishes

First place I went to Suzy. But it would be nice to hear from others with it. I feel as though it isn't treated as seriously as all the others.

Hi Andrew,

Do you think it would work on cutaneous vasculitis and squamous cell skin cancer? Maybe you would be good enough to ask your dermatologist when you see her again in a general way.

Very happy it's working for you! It is hard to find a dermatologist with experience in vasculitic related skin diseases...my skin is exploding with squamous cell carcinomas and other lesions that appear to be vasculitic; by the time I get home from a visit to my dermatologist, there is something new.

Probably due to the taper in prednisone down to 4mg.

And my own fault of a great deal of sun exposure throughout my life.

Good tip.
