Our next meeting is at the Linda McCartney Education Centre in The Royal Liverpool Hospital Prescot St L7 8XP.

We will have a Speaker & update since the Vasculitis Clinics have now moved to the Broadgreen site. We will also have a raffle & a buffet afterwards at a local restaurant.

Anyone wishing to attend, please let either me or Keith know.

Thanks Sue

Hello, I would like to attend the meeting with my wife. I haven't attended one before, it would be interesting to speak to someone else with vasculitis to see if they have similar day to day problems that I have. I know where the Linda McCartney centre is but not the education centre. Is there an entrance fee.

Hi you are both very welcome. There is no entrance fee. The Education Centre is in the same place. We have a room allocated, usually up the stairs, though there is a lift! If not sure, ask at the reception desk in the Education Centre where it is. Ant funds we raise from the raffle go towards our group.

Look forward to meeting to you both. What type of Vasculitis do you have & have you been diagnosed recently? Sue

Hello, thanks for your reply. I have polyarteritis nodosa, I was diagnosed in 2016 but suffered for a while before I was diagnosed correctly. I see a rheumatologist in Broadgreen, I only found out about your group through vasculitis uk when I looked on there recently.

Hi

I wondered if this meeting would be any different in content to the North West meeting recently held in Preston...?

I am keen to learn as much as I can about this disease but as I would be travelling a fair way, it wouldn’t be beneficial if it was this group was covering the same topics....?

Thanks......

Hi thanks for your reply. If you went to the recent Preston meeting then you would have met others with the same or similar Illness & listened to Dr Ben Parker, Vasculitis Consultant, who is very good. Our Meeting is along similar lines, I’m not sure who the speaker is yet. If you have a fair distance to travel then you may decide it’s not worth it. I live in Chester & we travel to Liverpool to meet others. We have also been to the Preston meetings, but couldn’t make the recent one. It’s good to learn as much as we can, as you say. I will post details of the speaker when I get more information.

Hi Jill just to let you know that I have had confirmation about our meeting next Thursday 15th November. Dr Janice Harper Vasculitis Consultant at Liverpool will be giving a talk about the effect of steroids & a Q & A session. The Vasculitis Specialist Nurse Sarah Hardy will also give an update on the new facilities following a change to Broad Green Clinic. You are welcome to come if you wish. I appreciate that it is a long drive for you. Parking can be awkward at the Hospital like most, but there are some multi story car parks. If you want further information, let me know. Sue
