NICE are looking for patient experts for the NICE Scientific Advisory Panel for GCA

The experience we are looking for in these patient experts - It could also involve attending a meeting in London at some stage.

We are looking for someone with Giant Cell Arteritis who is not yet in remission (but has relapsing disease) and has been on glucocorticoid-based treatment long-term and is still on it.

A second patient who experiences relapses but who cannot take glucocorticoids would also be helpful.

I had GCA confirmed in August 2016 and have been on Prednisolone since that date. I would be quite happy to be considered for the patient expert Nice are looking for

Hi noticed that you have already had one volunteer- don't know exact criteria but am happy to volunteer. I started out with PMR Nov 2014 and then developed GCA about Feb 2016. Am on steroids but have not been able to get below 16 mg ( mostly at 20mg-18mg ) for about 18 months. Am also on Leflounomide.
