Anyone had difficulty in getting rid of a verruca when on immuno suppressants? I am taking Humira for my P and also azathioprine for HSP (Vasculitis) and am having difficulty in getting rid of a verruca on my foot. I have tried using the liquid treatment plus soaking and filing it regularly, but each time it looks to have gone it comes back. I have an appointment with my derm for a routine review in a few weeks and thay will look at it then, but wondered if anyone had any tips or tried remedies?

I don't know you can blame the immunosuppressants or a stubborn verruca! They are ALWAYS stubborn and a lot of people say they will go when they are ready - then and not before.
Hi. I have had one for 18 years and tried every conventional and non conventional treatment going. Including my GP freezing it. It has even had a family so if you do have any success. Please let me know. All I do now is file it with one of those electrical files to keep it down and make it a tad more comfortable to walk. Good luck

I swear by dandelion sap. It sounds airy fairy but it's been tried and tested over many years in my family. Just pick a fresh flower and dab the white juice from the stem on the verruca every hour or so until the core turns black. This usually takes a day, sometimes two. You can put a plaster over the verruca to stop the sap rubbing off. A couple of days later, the core will have shrivelled and will fall, or can be picked, out. The only trouble is, that at the moment there are no dandelions about but keep this in mind for the rest of the year.
I had a lot of trouble and ended up having laser treatment at a chiropodist it did the trick but took some time. I was taking Azathioprine and steroids at the time. Good luck I know how painful Verruca’s can be
