Googled Canakunimab and it's a biologic drug, it basically blocks a specific inflammatory pathway ( in this case one of the Interleukins ).

There is a biologic drug called Rituximab which is already used to treat ANCA Vasculitis in particular with good success.

These drugs aren't a replacement for prednisolone as they can take a few months to become effective whereas prednisolone acts within 8 hours.

Avacopan is showing promise as a prednisolone alternative though, as well as the large clinical trial underway ( which I posted the link to ) it has shown success in a small study.

I believe canakunimab is being used to treat people who have had a heart attack to prevent further heart attacks and cancer
