It was a root canal procedure commencing in November 2014. I suspect the infection in the canal.

Do you have Lupus or RA or a bag of autoimmune diseases like me? 😊. Dental involvement is an untapped area in rheumatology.

Any sort of exercise ( hard core) stress ,not implants ( I'm talking dental implants) birth of a child , financial problems ALL THESE can and will cause sress ESP if u are a type A personality like myself - u push everything down and u look great on the outside and inside ur are a train wreck. I live in the United States and they refer u to a ARNP to speak with. I went twice and since she knew I was a nurse she saw me headed right at her. She did nothing for me that mad me mad- then she went on And on About all ur success and degrees. No question were for me so FYI

I meant to mention yest re: dental procedures are untapped in RA. NOT here in the US. Many ppl here in US - have to have total joint replacements of both TMJ JOINTS after a stressing dental procedure like an implant. It ( stress) awakens that dormant monstor) I worked for a maxillofacial surgeon who did my bilateral TMJ total joint replacements for a different reason. But it's usually the MRI THAT shows the degeneration of the TMJ JOINTS FROM RA. THEY are the tiniest joints in ur body - only joints in ur body that are connected and are in constant motion. A lot of " dental" patients seek help for the " awakened vasculitis from a dormant auto immune condition and find their TMJ JOINTS are destroyed. If TMJ IS found in an autoimmune pt then u move from dental pt to medical pt here in the US as TMJ is medical. so I just wanted to tell u that There are many good websites linking auto immune with stress, dental , TMJ DEstruction and vasculitis. I'll copy and paste this to Rafael also. Have a great day

JamieRN, what a very Interesting topic, thank you for sharing. I have developed TMJ issue around the same time when I first became ill. Dental involvement is well known in autoimmune diseases but I often find Rheumatologists would not want to listen or would say, that's "dental" and not my area. I hope your TMJ joints are doing well for you. I'm quite intrigued by your post, too (given my ownTMJ issues)!!

Rapheal, "nobody is calling it"? A bunch of...Dr "I ought to focus on the textbooks and guidelines rather than listening to patients"? Good luck with your new Rheumy.

Had two hip replacements age of 59 and 61, started now with retrospective view with first set of early symptoms a couple months after my second replacement

Does the hip contain metal? Some people react to metal as well as the surgical procedure itself.
