Just wanted to say that John and I attended the Vasculitis West Midlands Annual Support Group meeting yesterday.

It was an excellent meeting and we were made very welcome.

Professor Caroline Savage was the primary speaker. Prof Savage gave an excellent presentation. She discussed the benefits of new treatments for treating vasculitis, new research and newer targeted treatments.

Prof Savage is head of the experimental medicine unit at GSK. She worked originally at Birmingham QE as a Nephrology Consultant working with patients with vasculitis.

Lindsey Chapman from the Birmingham QE also gave an excellent presentation on "Living and Coping with Vasculitis"

There will be a full write up in the Spring 2016 edition of the VUK Newsletter.
