How to take Imuran?

I was wondering is it safe to take Prednisone and Imuran together at the same time, or should I wait couple of hours after taking Prednisone?

I suggest waiting an hour between taking your Imuran and anything else. I take CellCept and all of my docs have said to wait an hour before taking anything, including Synthroid. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

and nowhere does it say about separating pred and imuran nor have I seen anything other places.

If in doubt - always ask a pharmacist! They did 7 years of training to know these things.

Hello I take Imuran and have for 3 years now and I have always took them together I've never had a problem my Dr said they were fine together but maybe ask your pharmacist to be sure.

Hi, I take my together apart from my omeprazole which I take 1 hour before, this was suggested by pharmacist . Find yourself a good pharmacist and stay with them ,they have a list of all your medication and will be able to tell you when and how to take them. Example I can't swallow mine with grapefruit juice because of chemical reaction , hope this helps .

Hi, I take my Pred with my breakfast and my Imuran with my evening meal (both with a full glass of water) but I think I will go and check with my Pharmacist to make sure this is correct.

Hi wg612 drs have me on imuran and 20m of prednisone a day. ( was on 60 a day prednisone ) I'm in the process of tapering the steroid and been taking both together for about 2 months now and don't seem to be bothering me so far good luck with everything
