Anyone with MPA or Wegener and without any imumosupeesant like celcept imuran

My doughter have MPA.She is on cellcept for 18 months with pron.She is in remmision.Yesterday dr.told me that he would take she off cellcept in another 2 months.She is taking also 20 mg pronisone second day.Any expirience.

Only to say that I am now on Mycophenalate also for MPA and have been told it will only be for a couple of years or so if all goes well. I am being treated at Addenbrookes, I have been taking it for a couple plus months now also reducing my pred and will be coming of that if I can get it down and stay good... Just to let you know another aspect. Hope all stays good for your daughter. Merry Xmas.

Thanks for Your answer.I m from Serbia.My daughter had lung and mild kidnay problem.She has Anca negativ two years.I dont know is it ok so fast getting off cellcept.

My Mum was taking cyclphosphamide for six months with prednisone, she now takes just 7.5mg prednisone. Each case is different.

My daughter has had Systemic Vasculitis for around 5 years. She was on a high dose of Pred, but now is on 12mg a day. She has many other tablets to take too. She was on Imuran, but got a urinary tract infection that required an ambulance and 5 days in hospital. They took her off Imuran for the time being and she will try it again in the new year. We are hoping the Imuran will be instead of the prednisone in the near future. Her legs are looking better but the pain is still there undiminished. I wish you all the best with your journey.

I realy can understand that there are so many members but noone without immunosuppressive drugs.Are we all in so bad condision?
