Pulsatile Tinnitus picking up irregular heartbeat.

Primarily at night when I’m in bed, my tinnitus picks up an irregular heartbeat, I don’t really notice in the day.

Having recently had a stent in my heart, this makes me so anxious -I found sitting up in bed and falling asleep helps.

Anyone else have this problem?

My PT is the same. I often hear a very slow or irregular heartbeat at night. It’s disturbing if it lasts too long. It can settle down if I sit up in bed. I usually jumpstart it back to regular by fast heavy breathing or moving around and sometimes need to walk around for a while. Occasionally I resort to sending a masking sound from phone to hearing aids. Like you I can fall asleep sitting up. I hope you can get used to it enough for it to be less distressing.

I hear a heartbeat ticking in my ear sometimes, but it seems more about the ear being somewhat stopped up than tinnitus. Makes me anxious too. I also noticed that the ticking is much more irregular than my actual heartbeat that I can feel at the wrist. After I'm in bed awhile and my blood pressure gets lower I can't hear it anymore. Of course, getting anxious keeps the bp up.
