Hi, has anyone heard of the above and if so does it work. It appears to be a white noise machine that you hang around your neck all day and night at a cost of £369. My tinnitus has been screaming for the 4 months, have habituated most of the time, but a bit of relief would be a god send. Thoughts people please.

It seems very expensive for a white-noise machine that hangs around your neck, but I don't know whether there is anything special about it that justifies the price. You can get a good table-top machine for £30. However, since you can get a discount through Tinnitus UK, perhaps they approve of it. Surely other people will be able to hear it too. I would hope it also does other sounds, as not everyone wants to listen to white-noise all day. I avoid white-noise, as I once listened to it and it made my tinnitus spike to a distressing level. I prefer natural sounds for masking and distraction.

Hi....my husband who has tinnitus/hyperacusis tried it as he could not tolerate maskers/white noise directly into his ear. Thinking distraction noise around his neck may help instead. Unfortunately it did not help him as he has gearing loss in left ear so in turning up volume so he could hear it in left ear it was too loud in right ear which spiked his tinnitus. He did say if both ears were same it would have helped. He purchased it through getting discount at Tinnitus uk. You can also get refund after 30 days if doesn't work as he did

What if he kept the sound low enough anyway for both ears so it didn't spike his tinnitus. Could that have helped? How is your husband doing? Is he able to do more now?

Look at bone conduction headphones as a cheaper alternative. I've read many good reports from other T sufferers using these with masking noise, they don't block your ears.
