Muscial tinnitus

I have a musicial melody about 3 or 4 notes. Always on repeat and I've got use to this. Got a new one coming through. It almost sounds like a voice but in a musicial way. It says one word 'mummmmmmmy , mummmmy' well that's what it sounds like , can't really tell. It's doing my head in. Anyone else manage with this incurable nonsense?

I had a new one yesterday (I don’t normally get musical tinnitus) and it made me smile. But I can’t remember what on earth it was! It’s just part of the way that Mr T plays with us.

Hello jamdonut ..I too have what you have but I actually hear clear versions of random songs on about 5 sec loops always repeating until some other musical loop fills its place ...im 2years 3months in with this and it does get easier with time ..

hiya. Does your musicial T ever disort music elsewhere like in a restuarant? How loud is yours? After a while does it go in the background? Depending on how much noise ive exposed myself to, mine sort of speeds up.

At start it was all too much and seemed loud but as time goes on I think that the level is not as bad ..its very distressing at times ..but staying busy helps me alot ,,

Hi. How long have you had the music? I had very bad musical tinnitus for about 3 weeks in May. It has reduced to occasionally now. I don't know why it changed but am very relieved. Just the tedious hissing and ringing now with sometimes a tune in the background I can't recognise.

That's terrible. Have you had hearing therapy referred by Audiology?

Hi all fellow musical tinnitus sufferers. I’m 5 months into this, I would say nowadays it’s less loud, just random musical notes on a loop. Some days it’s just a humming and hissing noise , some it’s louder and clearer. I try to ignore it as much as I can. I do feel for people who are affected badly. If it wasn’t for sites like this one, we would think we are the only ones, as nobody has ever heard of it! Take care all x
