My Doctor's theory

I have just read the article Research update: Looking for tinnitus biomarkers. Very encouraging and the first evidence that my doctors theory, many years ago, was probably correct. I have had Tinnitus since traumatic surgery aged six. (now 62) Unaware it was abnormal, I was not diagnosed until years later and the suggestion was that the traumatic and painful illness and surgery on my face caused the onset of Tinnitus. I learned to cope with the condition for which there has been no treatment, and perhaps cope better today than those developing Tinnitus later in life, although it is still horrendous at times. I have not given up hope that a cure can be found.
