hi, I have t and h and currently going through CBT which is helping me immensely and would highly recommend.
My right ear has become very reactive but I have no hearing loss and wanted to know people’s views and knowledge on sound therapy through a sound generator for this as my understanding they only work if you have hearing loss…is that correct?
not sure why mine started…get is a possibility.
thanks you and looking forward to hearing from you all!

I’ve not seen sound therapy mentioned here, from memory. Try the Tinnitus UK website or Call on 0800 018 0527 or chat online from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
Hi ,Sound therapy can help tinnitus. This can be with white noise generators or using a sound machine.
Basically the sound should not be louder than your tinnitus just at mixing point.
Your brain looks for sound and by providing your brain with another sound than your tinnitus that feels better to cope with your brain will work hard to pick up the new sound learning your brain not to focus on your tinnitus.
I started with white noise generators like little hearing aids with no amplification like aids.
Many years later due to menieres I now have duel purpose hearing aids with a built in masker setting and set to the sound of the sea I picked.
