I've been told pulsatile tinnitus is down to hearing loss. Anyone any experience of this please?

Hearing loss pulsatile tinnitus
Hi Sweetthings1
It might be one of the factors in pulsatile sounds being audible to people - hearing loss might make it easier to hear internally-generated or occuring sounds like pulse tones being carried via blood flow if our ability to pick up on externally generated sound has decreased somewhat.
I have pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear infrequently and constant ringing in my right ear all the time. When I saw the ENT about the right ear issue they said that tinnitus could be a result of my hearing loss which surprised me. I didn’t have the left ear issue at the time so I don’t know if that is also true for that. But it’s not due to not hearing other things so the pulse is louder, it’s something to do with the way your brain interprets the lack of sound and then hears sound in the gap but it was all a bit complicated for me! Sorry I can’t be more help but I do believe they are linked.
I have tinnitusi had mine through damage to my right ear when i fell and banged my head when i collapsed when i had my brain aneurysm and bled through my nose and ears i don’t remember this. But took a few years convincing ear nose and throat department that I had tinnitus and hearing problems now I have hearing aids for my tinnitus and hearing problem now
hi Sweetthings1 unfortunately I am familiar with this topic. People with and without hearing loss can have pulsatile tinnitus. I have experience of this myself : I had PT in my good ear (no hearing loss), which luckily went away, and now I have it , in a more intrusive way , in the other ear , which unfortunately does have hearing loss. So ent is again as useful as a chocolate teapot 😆
I Ve had Pulsatile Tinnitus for a limited amount of time. If it was hearing loss related, it would have just stayed and not gone away.
