This is my first post on here , I’m kind of new to some of my symptoms as they only arrive after having influenza A & Covid 19 for the second time in 2022 which unfortunately turned into long covid which I’m still on this journey, although many other symptoms accompany this joyful journey 😂 the Dizziness & Tinnitus are a couple of new ones that have been with me this last 16 months , just wondering what people do naturally to help alleviate the noises?
I have thunder storm music 🎶 on at night to distract my tinnitus and I always keep hydrated which helps , any other natural remedies? Thank you in advance ❤️

it seems to me, positive vibes, that you are on the right path as far as tinnitus is concerned.
You’ll know by now that there’s no cure, as such (unlike as proposed by advertising), just ways to get to the nirvana of not noticing it except rarely. I can hear the T now, because I’m writing to you, but that’s the first time today. I’m habituated. You sound as though T doesn’t cause you distress.
The website of Tinnitus UK has lots of information on how you can help yourself, and I hope posters here will say what helps them - but what helps one person doesn’t help another.
Dizzyness is sometimes associated with tinnitus and, again, some forms can be cured or nearly cured. You can get a prescription which keeps the nausea down a bit, and vestibular rehabilitation exercises do help. You can get these from the website of the Brain and Spine Foundation.
Hi Positivevibes, sorry to hear you have long covid, I am convinced that’s what I have as my T got worse after having covid in 2021, I contacted Tinnitus uk and they told me covid can make T and dizziness worse, I also have dizziness along with vestibular migraine, hyperacusis and light sensitivity, I had some physio on my neck last year as it’s always stiff and painful and am convinced it’s why I am so dizzy, it worked for a couple of weeks but stopped, am unable to continue due to the cost of it.
It sounds like you are doing the right things especially with keeping hydrated.
There is a website called vestibular.org that deals with dizziness and also exercises about retraining the brain so you don’t feel as dizzy, I was given these to do when I went to Neuro Physio a couple of years ago and it helped for a while.
Hi, I have hearing aids for high frequency hearing loss too, the tinnitus which is a result of that (became much louder after 3rd Covid jab) may take many months to become less noticeable, so don’t lose heart, I’m on month three and it’s beginning to settle, I notice its reduction first thing in the morning, the hiss is barely there, but it increases throughout the day when external noise levels increase. I’m learning to use the app more to regulate my environment but it’s a bore having to faff with it! One of my settings is an auto sense which adjusts to your immediate surroundings which helps. Spend time with your provider learning about all the different options on hearing aid options. Good luck on your journey
hi - I’m definitely with Happyrosie on this, there’s lots of really useful info on this site but (and it’s an important but!) this is your journey. It sounds that, like your name implies, you are trying to just go with your T, which I think is great. 👍
