Bit different as it didn't start from then but my tinnitus got a lot worse after covid last year. I only really notice it when I think about it, like now . Otherwise it doesn't really bother me

I have had T for nearly 20 years and was well accustomed to it, but level has at least doubled since my first bout of Covid 6 months ago so I'm still readjusting.

I had slight T before Covid. But it definitely got worse post Covid and I also have hearing loss in that ear now.

I always had it but went away after a week or so. Caught it a week after I was told to work from home in March 20 and since then it got progressively worse. I've lost hearing (related or not, I don't know). Long COVID is one of those tricky ones, I don't believe it's really acknowledged as poorly understood.

Morning Andy my T started after I got covid in September 2021 and I still have it to this day . At first I was in a dark place drinking whiskey to sleep then sleeping pills and antidepressants.Moving forward to today I now don’t need anything at all to help me sleep the T is exactly the same in volume as it was the first time I heard it I’m completely deaf in my right ear and have T in my left ear but can honestly say it doesn’t bother me for 90% of the time anymore it just takes time for your mind and brain to adjust to the changes things will get better for you Andy it just takes time sorry for the long winded reply I just hope it helps you or somebody else who might read it

I developed slight tinnitus after a cold in January but then caught Covid in March. I believe it caused the tinnitus to become louder and permanent and at first almost unbearable. But like many others, I have habituated to it and now it only bothers me at certain times. I have not experienced any hearing loss.

Mine started not long after my covid vaccination. Seems there’s no distinct evidence or research on any links but I’ve seen many people share the same!

Hi,

Yes! My tinnitus started due to Covid. I’m approaching 3yrs (Christmas week) since it started. Definitely not alone but apart from groups like these I’ve had no help or support locally x

Hello Molly, I have been to see two ENT professionals but they more or less say learn to live with it. What I have found ( It wont make become and acholic though) is a couple of glasses of wine really lessen and nearly remove the buzzing.
