It looks to be the way forward with my T is to purchase a recording machine that can capture everyday sounds that work, and the non every day like a jet engine being switched on and warming up, from the internet. Sounds that will mask the T. There's quite a number on Amazon so before I start the involved and extensive business of assessing each is there anyone here who owns such a machine and is prepared to recommend it? Thank you if there be.

Hi Ray
May be a bit ambitious if no previous experience as steepish learning curve recording and editing audio. However if you have the time and inclination give it a go!
Below is a basic rough guide - if you don’t understand any of it do read up further before you buy anything.
Once you have recorded the sounds you like you are probably going to need to load them onto a computer. You will need a computer with audio software such as wavelab or similar to edit & loop the sound to make it last for a reasonable length of time. Once happy with the edits the best thing might be to burn the audio onto CD or send to your phone for ease of use
Don’t buy something cheap and cheerful from Amazon to record with I can recommend this stereo hand held recorder - the zoom H1N

Thank you, bournville. All advice appreciated. Looks to be a daunting task I have, but fortunate that what I'm after is not essential as such but will make the most of what can be done to tackle T. So, it's winter project stuff, with plenty of months ahead to get it all together before purchase. I'll keep everyone updated on what I find as I go along.
