tinnitus and a bad cold

my tinnitus has got worse with a bad cold I have, lots of tissues and mucus (sorry!). Does this happen for others? Also a kind of dull thud in my ear as I eat and chew that is new with this cold.

Hi Mary. Yes. I had a very bad cold the first two weeks in December . Tissues everywhere! My hearing was muffled and my T soared. My voice sounded all tinny too. It's the build of mucus behind the ear drum. My hearing is coming back now and the T settling down. Hang in there. Hope you get well soon.

oh yes! I had a cold at the beginning of November, it cleared after ten days, then another, cleared, and I’ve just finished my third. And in each case the tinnitus settled in my head and giggled inanely at me. But it will go … or at least, it will settle down and I won’t notice it. until the next time.
