Ive had what I consider to be bad tinnitus for 16 months now. Really got me down to start with but over the last few months have somewhat habituated and been more myself. This last week though it seems worse than ever. Ive done nothing different apart from getting a bad cold. Could the cold have made the tinnitus worse and if so can I expect an improvement / habituation again any time soon thanks.

Hiya yes colds can make it worse if say blocks the ears I had my number of years I do hope yours go down in tone
Thanks
I believe it had gone down in tone slightly until the cold arrived.
Hi how are you today hope you are ok just want this ringing to stop but no such luck
Yes, unfortunately colds affect me too and make my T worse. When you think of problems that affect us in life ENT-related we normally have a 'weak' spot somewhere and mine had normally been Throat - lots of sore throats and laryngitis over the years from colds - but not ears, yet now colds affect my T. Hope you get rid of it soon.
Hi Lulu thanks for your reply. Im not sure if my T seems to have settled down very slightly today or at least my perception of it has improved slightly. Anyway hope your Ok.
