toughmatthew, why does it matter to you? You post several times a week with different queries. This says to me that you are giving your tinnitus lots and lots of attention. As several posters have said to you, the more you give tinnitus your attention, the more the tinnitus will pay attention to you!

if the research information was available, would that help you with your problem? I don’t think so.

I cannot see there is any way that this information could be gathered. Many many people have tinnitus but they do not necessarily report it to anyone.

I feel you. How long have you been suffering? Its very hard just to get on with it and ignore it. Mine is really bad at the moment. There are people who fix it or for some it just goes away but it depends what type of tinnitus you have. Pulsatile tinnitus is usually the one they can help. I had it as a teenager, it just went one day. Mine is usually triggered by vitamin D in supplements, food or sun, but it's everyday at the moment for some reason. Talking can help, I know some people tend not to, but if it's upsetting you that much then the anxiety can make it worse. I hope you manage to find some peace soon.

Yeah, drs just don't care. Mine is just in my left ear which means really they should do an MRI but they refused to do one! Think I'm going to have to push for one.
