Changes in Tinnitus sound - do any of you have experience this? - my T changes every month or so

My tinnitus has become more a solid, intrusive sound - more distressing - over past 2 weeks

I am fairly sure the reason for this change is a chemical substance leakage from a cracked tooth root ( with old crown on top) which has now been extracted. The crown was re-attached 2 wks ago ( for third time) with the dental cement- and only just recently caused problem with pain as well.

Dental work is totally fine until particular tooth restorations get very old and the best option is removal and not more 'restoration'

Does anyone have any de-toxing of toxins tips?

Just so much more difficult to cope with this change in the tinnitus and my life is already restricted because of T. Does anyone else experience these changes in tinnitus sound , tone , intensity etc - it is just a case of yr brain getting used to the latest change.

Hi Suz_2 I read a while ago that onions can act as a detox - especially from heavy metals. Whether it's true or not I don't know. On your last point I think so. I've experience several changes in my good ear . First a low rumble, then a low hum, now it sounds like a windy tunnel. I got used to the first two. Still adjusting to the windy tunnel. The brain is very adaptable.

hi there. Yeah I’ve had loads of changes over the last few months. Different sounds and pitches. Mine changes sound with jaw and neck movement. Very distressing at first but you will get used to it. Hard to do but the most important thing to do is to try and keep calm and not react to it. Your brain will adjust. Good luck.

So sorry for your difficulties in this change Suz26. Just dashing out the door but I’ll post if I can think of anything.

Hi

Mine has playlists that it selects noises from, the playlists get updated with new sounds over time.

Today it's playing the high pitched whine/ hiss (default track) and overlaying the rumbling fluttery ear one which it only plays occasionally.

My other area of symptoms, pressure sensations in head, painful jaw and tingling face also chipping in today.

Regards

I tend to have the same sounds (several of them but not terrible), but at various times, usually in noisy places or if I'm overtired I start having pulsatile tinnitus. I rarely wake up with it but quite often go to sleep with it. This is such a strange affliction. And I've also hand a diminution of hearing in my left ear (from moderate loss to severe), but of course that doesn't reduce the tinnitus 🙄😂🙄😂

Mine changes in intensity all the time it vaguely goes up and down but a clear pattern isn't easy to discern . I`m not sure there is always a reason although I desperately try to make sense of it

is yr T reactive to noise - today I played some sounds from a tinitus app - and its changed , gone fizzing and gone up in volume and the sounds were not loud and didnt pplay them for long

It is highly reactive to noise ...as well as doing its own thing . It may be sleeping patterns ,after a bad day or two, you sleep so deeply that helps until the effect wears off

I don't know but n that is one theory I have come up with 🤔

My tinnitus is reactive as well - difficult to know how to calm the electrical fizzing , hissing
