Good morning I’ve had T for 18 months I’m waiting to see the ent specialist, a few weeks ago I was sent into hospital with suspected mini strokes, thankfully my head was ok, I was put on betahistine and after a few days I felt great for first time in months, then I had a really bad episode that last all day and drained me for days, it was like feeling drunk without drinking, im currently on the sick im a support worker and I’m anxious about returning to work because every time I bend down I get dizzy and I never know when the bad days will happen any advice would be appreciated thanks in advance

I think doctors find it hard to diagnose dizziness, could be a lot of things but I’m glad it’s not a stroke! You need to train your brain to believe what your eyes are telling it, and not your ears. Go to the website of the Brain & Spine Foundation and search for vestibular rehabilitation exercises. Do the ones where you sit and move your eyes or your head, a few times a day for a couple of minutes at a time. After a couple of weeks your brain might have been retrained. Continue taking the tablets but if they don’t work there are others (see your pharmacist). If after three weeks you are not better go back to your doctor and suggest he does the Eply procedure. He or another doctor in the practice might do it. You can see how it’s done online in utube.

If you need clarification of what I’ve said please post again. I’m really hoping you’ll feel better soon.
