Lots of people, Sweeper, have mentioned this condition on this forum. I have it myself. If you haven’t seen a doc about this you could do so, and could be prescribed a pill for the nausea (there’s no pill to “cure”). You might be prescribed exercises to help train your brain to believe what your eyes and body are telling it, and not your ears.

So come back to us here if you need more info or scroll through the posts about this - try “vertigo” in the search box top right.

Hi I have had balance issues and terrible Vertigo as well as tinnitus and full itchy ears for the last 2 years. A couple of months ago my GP put me on betahistine and it has worked really well for me in regard to the vertigo and balance issues. Still got tinnitus though but at least one problem is solved. There are other medicines that work for other people we are all different but speak to your GP as soon as you can to get some help take care.

My balance is very “iffy”….but it was like that before I developed Tinnitus…after all our balance mechanism in the ears can be affected by something as simple as a cold.Have a word with your doctor to make sure it’s nothing sinister…he may refer you to something called the Epley Manoeuvre which depending on the actual cause can sometimes help…personally I have found it helpful…but many people don’t.

I too have this problem. The thing I’d say is it’s dizzy and off balance, not faint so it isn’t a light-headed type feeling. I have an MRI booked in and waiting for audiology. So definitely see your GP, they should take it seriously. Try not to worry, you aren’t alone.
